Adrian & Marika
Adrian Iselin began his movement path with martial arts, when after some years his desire to move more freely led him via dance to partner acrobatics. With a background in social science and teaching, he focuses strongly on didactics and a well structured learning approach. Marika Gangemi was formally trained in dance, which is the career she has been building for the past 20+ years. Aside from dance she has s strong passion in exploring other movement like climbing and gymnastics.
Lux is a solid pillar of Israel Acro. an acro-innovator who's teaching is in high-demand worldwide. Ever heard of ninja-star, spider-roll, monkey-frog, ballerina with attitude? Those are just a fraction of Lux's inventions. His teaching style is clear and concise, highly attentive and yet demanding at any level.
Jonathan Rea & UV
Jon loves to use movement for self-expression & connection. He is happy to have discovered yoga and acrobatics, which have broadened his capacity to collaborate with partners and deepen his understanding of alignment and technique. He will be teaching with UV (Yuval Feldman) who spent most of her life upside down doing gymnastics, sports acro, tumbling, silks, lyra, and Russian swing. She is a certified gymnastics teacher from Wingate academy and has been coaching gymnastics for 4 years.
Jan & Olivia
Joli Vyann was created by Olivia Quayle and Jan Patzke in 2012, integrating circus, dance and theatre in their own unique style of blurring boundaries between dance and circus in an emotive experience. Joli Vyann'a work explores the precarious nature of mixing dance & acrobatics, playing with contradictions, subtlety and breaking conventions. Their work is daring, athletic, gravity defying and versatile and often has a focus on subverting gender stereotypes.
VanCity Acro team
Slava Goloubov, Andrea Macia, Devon French & Millissa Greenwood are thrilled to be joining the Israeli Acro Convention for the first time! This team jas travelled the world teaching and spreading Acro Love for the past 8 years, hosting workshops, retreats & teacher trainings. Their particular style focuses on flow creation and community orientation. What we love most is to learn thru playing, and give you the tools to succeed in creating new possibilities.
Psychologist converted into an Acromonkey. Alfonso is a passionate Acrobat. Partner Acrobatics teacher & Co-founder of AcroWings. He shares his love for Icarian, whips & standing acro, teaching and preforming worldwide. He often teaches with Mira Singer advanced Icarian workshops. Humor, challenges and technique are the pillars of his teaching practice. You'll be encouraged by his fire energy & enthusiasm to face your limits in a safe and fun environment.
Kat & Jared
Kat (FIN) & Jared (AUS) are performing circus and dance artists and acrobatics teachers based in Oulu, Finland. They mix together a unique set of skills and drills from the disciplines of partner acrobatics, acroyoga, acrobatic dance such as lindy hop, contemporary dance, handstands and circus performance. Trained by Carampa Circus School & DOCH, AcroYoga Montreal, Hanuman Acrobatic yoga and University degree of Education Kat & Jared have a joyful bundle of movement knowledge ready to share.
Peter & Jose
Peter van Valkenhoef & Jose Renkens were the principle teachers at the first IAC! With a wealth of Dutch Acro background and many years of experience teaching and performing together, they have a lot to offer. Making no distinction between lying and standing Acro, their style is elegant and practical, with an eye for the stage and a feeling for human connection. Their detailed explanations of technique always carry that no-nonsense attitude and a humility that leaves room for further learning.
The Acro Smiths
The AcroSmiths (Danny & Aniane), are a husband & wife team who love to spend our days together playing, learning, and growing. We are always happy to share everything we know to spread the joy of acro. We met in the mid 1980’s in Germany and we fell in love with partner acrobatics after attending a workshop. We continue to hone our skills and knowledge of acrobatics by attending numerous workshops. We love adding humour and fun to our classes, creating a playful, fun learning atmosphere.
Paula & Nadav
Nadav and Paula graduated from LuxSeattleAcro teacher training. Nadav is a massage therapist, drawn to acro through its therapeutic lunar aspects. He has been teaching AcroYoga in Seattle since 2012, and with Puala since 2018. They started the Acro community in Kiryat Ono last summer. We focus on adagio style L-basing; slow movements that are stable throughout their transitions, enabling the practitioners to refine their flow. We are also passionate about therapeutic Acro!
Camellia Nieh is a globetrotting multidisciplinary artist with a focus on contact improvisation, AcroYoga, yoga, and fusion dance. She has trained with Quebec Circus School, The Circus Project, Adama Dance Company, Acro Revolution TT, VanCity Acro TT, AcroFit TT, and has taught and performed at immersions and festivals worldwide. She teaches, creates and volunteers at the Chalananda retreat center in Mexico, the Lookout Arts Quarry in the US, and AcroYoga Japan.

Back in 2014 at Carampa Circus school, the three of us met and began to experiment how to combine our three passions: movement, acro & handstands. Together we found creative ways to adapt traditional hand to hand tricks to fit our individual strengths and sizes, as well as inventing completely new ones. We all base, we all fly, and we believe it is very valuable to understand both roles. We love to see our students discovering that they can do things that they never thought possible!
Yam & Meital
Yam Ben Natan & Meital Midori entered the acro world several years ago and have been at it obsessively ever since. They both teach in Haifa. They love the magic of acro, the joy it brings and the new and exciting means of communication it brings to the table. just like a dance, Yam and Meital enjoy flow, movement, creativity and delicate balancing in acro - and that's their speciality together.
Maya & Joe
Maya Hadar and Joe Rubinstein fell in the love with Icarian Games and fell in love with it. They have spent countless hours practising and refining their technique. They teach workshops in Europe and Israel, putting a special emphasis on combined efforts between base and flyer, tempo, and safety. They are excellent at creating helpful progressions, and pointing out the finer details needed to allow the skill to work.
Tomasz & Joanna
Tomasz is a certified AcroYoga International level 2 teacher. Together with Joanna, they developed a passion for all kinds of movement that creates a sense of freedom, reaches our deepest nature and brings people closer to each other. Since 2015 they have been discovering the secrets of Acro. They participate together in conventions, workshops and festivals. Both love dance, so one of the things they do together is Acro Dance and Contact Acro.
Marjolein has been practicing acrobatics for 29 years and still loves to do this. She is a circus teacher and performer and also taught 2 years ago at the IAC with my colleague Angela Dirven, The Golden Girls. Her passion is to never stop playing.
Nimrod & Rachel
For us acro is a perfect combination of play, exercise and challenge, both physical and mental. In our classes we share technique and tools for better communication that will help make your practice smoother and safer. Nimrod has been practicing Acro for more than 7 years. He learned from the best teachers in Israel and is a certified AcroRevolution teacher. Rachel, a certified dance and Pilates instructor has been practicing acro for over 3 years. We can't wait to share our passion with you!
Caterine & Yaniv
Caterin Schreiber & Yaniv Cohen met two years ago, at the Tel Aviv, at an open jam. They love exploring acro and improving non-verbal communication through their practice. They really love teaching and put an emphasis on being attentive to oneself and your partner. For us, it is important to teach students that with the right focus, any skill can be easier and more enjoyable.
When you think of Mira, you can only picture her in the air. Mira has been flying since childhood, was a high skilled gymnast, than a trainer since she was 16. She loves teaching circus for children & has been teaching it for 10 years now in France.Thai Massage Therapist, Acrobatics teacher, hooked on Adrenalin, she specializes in Icarian games. Loves Standing Acro, 3-4 People machines. Practiced Yoga & African dance for many years & loves combining all these skills in her joyful classes.
Avner Hochfeld & Yanai Levor
Avner Hochfeld and Yanai Levor are the founding fathers of Israel Acro Convention and leading teachers in Israel. Besides organizing events, they both simply love teaching acro. Avner specializes in long L-basing flows including whips, pops and icarian games. Yanai's focus is on handstands, standing base and dynamic acro. They both have a special love for trios, and both teach acro with kids, as well
Yaroslav Tua was born in Siberia and is now residing in Moscow. Yaroslav has become a leading figure in Russian Acro-yoga scene. His innovative washing machines and passion for L-basing has led to the now famous "Flying Machines" trademark. When teaching he prefers to start simple and make sure the basics are well understood. As things are polished he gradually increases the speed and the level showing how to apply the same principles for more complicated stuff.
Evan Josef Cohn
Evan is an international acro teacher who is certified through Acroyoga Montreal as well as Partner Acrobatics. He has also trained with Pitch Catch Circus and spent the last 2 years training with the goal of being a Circus performer. Coming from a background of music with a BA in dance and performing arts Evan teaches with a passion for movement and self expression. He's a strong believer that values like trust, communication and supporting one another are the building blocks of this practice.
Yael & Dani
Yael & Daniel the Israeli-Chile duo. They have more than 18 years of experience in circus arts & acrobatics. Working together as a duo called YADtoMANO since 2010 specializing in dynamic partner acrobatics. (H2H, group acrobatics, banquine, handstands, acro dance, juggling duo & more) Performing and teaching all over the world. They have a deep knowledge on those techniques, deep understanding of body movements & psychology, years of training, performing and many many years of teaching.
Yair & Rotem
Yair Chuchem & Rotem Sapir come from Tel-Aviv where they discovered the magic of acro 4 years ago and quickly got addicted. They are acro-geeks who invent stuff by dreaming it up and then trying it out. Exploring and discovering elegant new moves and intricate washing machines is their passion. Their ashing machines with 3 people have become well known for their difficulty level of pure fun.
Hanny, a dance and movement therapist, graduated from Acro Revolution teacher training - uses Acrobalance as a therapeutic tool to explore connections and relationships in her practice. In the classes we will explore our creativity and the hidden possibilities of non-verbal communication in Acro. This is a special and fascinating world emerges when you learn to depend on other senses, communicate without words, with eyes closed. We will create unique movement patterns; develop a new forms.
Ruslan & Saar
Ruslan North & Saar Wouters are encouraging, technical and creative AcroYoga explorers with theatrical fire performance background. Both are certified by AcroYoga Montreal and are among the leading figures of the AcroYoga scene in Belgium. Their unique style is based on many disciplines, such as Yoga, dance, acrobatics, circus, Martial Arts. All of that strengthened by their ongoing deep and critical research, which is tested through years of experience and continuous adaptation.
Avital & Daniel
Practice acro flow together, always in search of creating a smooth and endless motion. We like to challenge our communication and accuracy to find the best ways of creating dynamic and peaceful movement together. Combining washing machines & choreography with high awareness to detail, in order to enjoy the bliss of the flow. Our focus is on building strength together as a team and as individuals and staying tuned to each other, while still paying attention to technique and having fun!

Yska & Amir
Yska Ruzitsky & Amir Zalait are partners in life and in acro. This IAC will actually be our four-year anniversary! We love to explore our bodies and movement, while working on repetitive drills and technique. We believe that there is more than one way to do things and always love to learn new practice methods and to adjust them to our training.
Adam de Lange
Adam started flying a decade ago, and very quickly the hobby became a profession. He learned to fly, to flip, to fall and get up. He became fascinated and addicted to acro. This opened a great, endless, magical world of circus creation. Studying circus in Spain and then travelling in Europe deepened his connection to the circus world. From there he established the Circus School 2 years ago at Mitzpe Ramon "Circus in the Desert." He now runs the school and teaches alongside a dedicated staff.
InBalance are a group of six artists working together for the past 2 years, teaching and preforming. We are all graduates of circus and dance schools in Israel, and teach alone and together in Israel and abroad. We especially like to practice and teach group work - trios and more. We focus mostly on dynamic and standing acro. At the convention we will teach bits of the material that we are working on in our creation, with special attention to solid technique, communication and having fun.
A certified Acrobatics teacher from Wingate academy, Moshe was exposed to the arts of circus 8 years ago & immediately got attached to the sensation of being a child in an adult's body. Acro has changed him as a father & a human, he loves to work on the fine line of understanding the other, like in life as he see's it, and learn from a place of softness, stability and awareness. Moshe has a charm of life, smiles & happiness, and you can feel it all in his classes.
Daria & Kuzma
Daria Kalinikina has doing acro since 2010,. She started as one of the first in Russia.. She likes beauty of movements and delicate balance, with place for creativity. Daria and Kuzma Salosina are busy inventing new transitions and washing machines together with Katya Bolshakova. One of their favorite directions is slacro, sometimes crazy slacro, Kuzma Salosin came to acro in 2015, and loves to focus on all sorts of strange balances, which he hopes will inspire you.
Orin Lev Or
Born into an acro family, Orin started doing acro as a 5-year old child, and has been preforming and teaching from a very young age. She is an experienced dancer and has studied yoga and Thai Massage. She combines all of these skills, plus her natural joy of life with her contagious smile, in her teaching. Her Acro style stems from the movement of the body and flows into dance. She loves Pop's, L-basing, standing acro and whips.
Inbar discovered the world of acro in 2012, and since then is committed to cultivating and developing AcroYoga in Israel. Especially loves exploring foot to hand, creative flows, Icarian pops, and AYFit. "This practice holds an empowering, fulfilling and joyous potential that it is addictive! As a bonus, you develop flexibility - both physical and psychological" She is a certified AcroYoga teacher, studied at Carampa Circus School. She currently teaches classes and private lessons in Tel Aviv
Oded Zohar is an Organizational Development consultant and coach, owner and lead facilitator at Zohar EXP, an organizational development company. A former circus artist and an active juggling and acro practitioner, Oded completed the B.K.S Iyengar Yoga teachers training. He uses Acro as a group activity in trust-building workshops for organizations. He dreams of being a flyer in the next life.
Nir Rozman has an extensive formal background in gymnastics and loves teaching dynamic standing acro. Nir specializes in various forms of handstands and teaches partner flips, saltos and same-size acro moves. This will be his 6th convention.
Ayala Almog has been teaching Vinyasa Yoga for over 10 years, and has been practicing since the age of 17. She teaches Acrobalance integrated with the principles of yoga and teaches Bindu, yoga for women and acro for parents and kids. Ayala believes that the communication skills acquired through acro practice are a wonderful gift which we can learn from. She loves to base, fly and live.
Noi has a passion for movement (together and alone) and for objects manipulation. Circus is his life. I believe that movement is a medicine for the body and the soul. In my lessons we will research how the physics of the body works and how do we work together with two bodyies in synchronicity. How do we move in a way that does not harm but rather help the body to get stronger.
David is a certified Acro Yoga teacher by VanCityAcro, teaching classes, courses and festivals in Israel and around the world. He's been doing this amazing hobby for more than 2 years now, after finding it in a local gym and falling in love with it. I soon decided to become a teacher because I love watching people's faces become happy and excited after trying it. Acro-yoga is not only for the body but also for the soul, you get stronger from the outside and from the inside. And anyone can do it!
Francis Kahende was exposed to acrobatics through the Sarakasi circus in Nairobi, Kenya from a young age. His emphasis is on large team work and choreography. Francis has been performing and teaching yoga and acrobatics throughout Kenya and Uganda for the past 8 years. He now lives in the EcoME center for a new middle east, where he teaches classes and gives teacher training.
Ronny and Uri train L-basing acro together for over 4 years. Their Style involves Icraian, pops, hand to hands and a combination of pops to hand to hand. They break down every trick and progress slowly & safely into more advanced tricks. Love to improvise & move between familiar positions, challenging the body by gaining more techniques and fun.
Shlomo has studied and taught Acrobalance around the world. He started his partner acrobatic journey while living in Utah in 2010 and has been teaching since 2013. Along the way he has become a certified yoga instructor, and trains regularly in aerial acrobatics. Aside from his study of movement, he is an outdoorsman, a massage therapist, and believes in living a sustainable lifestyle.
Zohar has been practising yoga for 13 years and teaching for seven. She received her qualification in India in the Ashtanga Mysore style, but it soon became apparent that there was a considerable gap between what she had learned in India and what the practitioners here needed. She wanted to adapt the practice to practitioners and their needs, and not vice versa. Her classes are characterised by soft flows that open the joints and warm up the fascia and muscles.
Camellia Nieh 3
Camellia has a deep connection to an assortment of dance, movement, circus and acrobatics which is apparent in her fluid movement. She is enthusiastic to be teaching at IAC 2019, which she has attended and co-taught for several years running. Her teaching style provides tools and tips that make learning difficult tricks safe, accessible and enjoyable, with a special focus on locomotion - moving fluidly thru space with your partner.
Brianna's world changed with her first taste of flight 5 years ago and it's been her mission ever since to lift as many people as possible. Her acro journey has taken her all over the globe as a practitioner and a teacher. She is passionate about this practice as a universal language with the power to break down barriers, challenge belief, and push limitations. Her teaching approach encourages you to explore all edges of the practice physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to find YOU
Shoham has been in TLV Acro community since its beginning, and has been practicing Acro for 9 years. 3rd year student of Physical therapy, she uses that knowledge in anatomy, core stability and injury prevention in her teaching & practice. She gives Acro-Fit classes because she believes in the importance of a whole body strength & conditioning with your partner in order to be a good acrobat. Shoham practices mainly dynamic standing Acro & icarian.
Acro for Amitai Haberman is understanding each other, creating and maintaining trust. Lifting up and allowing each other to flow. Safely creating motion, swing, spring, laughter, joy and fun. Amitai has been nurturing and contributing to the expansion and progression of the Beer Sheva acro community for the past 3 years. He is committed, passionate and always eager to try, learn and share acro whether with newcomers or veterans.
Liya's practice and teaching covers many fields, including acroyoga, slackline, aerial yoga, pilates and many more. she believes that thru exploring and playing one can discover the most about himself and that's what she brings into her teaching, borrowing a bit from every field to create a playful and dynamic practice where each practitioner can find his own unique voice. Liya is certified by the Yogaslackers (USA) and by Vancity acro (Canada).
Inbar Duek & Oren Ben Bassat have been working together since 2015. They love foot to hand, hand to hand, dynamic lifts and transitions. They have traveled together to both the Netherlands and Croatia Teaching what they love most
Guy Ron & Shoham Katz
Guy Ron, pursuing physical arts for many years, included partner acrobatics high in his list of activities. For him, Acro is a chance to become aware of our bodies, how they move, how we can use them in ways that we did not think possible, and how we can move in harmony with one another. Guy likes challenge, to develop skills, strengths, and ranges of motions, like weird and non traditional motions.
Shugi was a dancer her entire childhood and decided to make her hobby a career when she got the opportunity to be apart of “Bat Dor” dance company. She was introduced to the art of acro yoga and handstands seven years ago. Since then she has dedicated her life to the different styles of circus art and to bringing the joy of handstands to other people too. In addition, she is a big part of the management and show production in the Israeli circus.
Saar discovered the world of Yoga and Acroyoga due to a painful back injury. It helped him recover and regain confidence in his body, and he has fallen in love with the emotional and spiritual side of the practice. A certified yoga teacher, Thai massage therapist, Traditional Chinese Medicine student, he formerly performed with Acroyoga and fire. Saar's classes emphasise the combination of the world of Yoga, Meditations and Acroyoga.
